Hey. So you found the about page. Clever you. So who am I and why should you care? Well I can at least answer one of those.

I’m Dom. I’m 27 years old, originally from Ipswich/Norwich, UK, but now residing in Birmingham, the big city. I moved here in 2006 with my then girlfriend to leave behind my family and ex-friends and start a new life. It was a big step for me, moving out of my parents house, renting a place of my own for the first time, trying to manage work life and home, making new friends and finding things that interested me.

By day I’m a Mac Technician, doing server and desktop installs for various clients with MacByte, and in the evening I swap between bassist for Corsairs, fiancĂ©e, geek, blogger and amateur photographer. I’ve always been interested in computers, from the early days of playing with my mums Amstrad PC, spending hours on Alex the Kidd for my Sega Master System and taking apart TV remotes to see what they’re like, and thats become the obvious career for me.

In 2004 I got my first Mac, a 15″ G4 Powerbook, and I loved it. I gave up on using the Dell desktop I had been using previously and got deeply submerged in the Apple environment. 4 years later, and I’ve gone through 2 laptops, 2 iPods and 2 iPhones. I wouldn’t switch back.

In my free time, I try enjoy cooking. I don’t cook a lot, but there is real satisfaction from making a meal from a pile of ingredients and sitting down with a glass of wine or a beer and enjoying it. I also love making music, coming up with a new bassline and hearing the rest of the band fill in around it, or to add to a song to give it punch and rhythm.

So we come to this website. Its just WordPress with a number of tweaks to the theme to make it mine. So on with the writing.

And because it seems to be so important, here is my Google Profile
